This project discretely added space while connecting with the outside and making better use of existing internal areas. The roof line of the new addition rake back to a box gutter allowing for taller windows that can take advantage of northern winter sun while a substantial eave protects the glazing from the heat of summer. The tapered rafter ends reference to the original 1940's home and add an elegance to the new build.
